Forging Bonds, Strengthening Connections: UB welcomes Visiting Professors from the Universitas Amikom Yogyakarta to Discuss Educational Partnership

UB Centennial Hall – The University of Baguio welcomed two esteemed visiting professors from the Universitas Amikom Yogyakarta on September 21 to forge an international partnership with the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA).

Professor Gardyas Biadri Adninda and Professor Risa Suprapto sat down with SEA Dean Jeferd Saong and the SEA program chairs for an enriching exchange on the programs offered by both universities.

The meeting culminated in a discussion of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that aims to solidify the bond between universities as partners in pursuing academic excellence.

The MOA went over plans of both universities to facilitate collaborative lectures, the exchange of students and faculty, an international internship program, and the fostering of research collaboration in Engineering, Architecture, and Urban Planning.

With the goal of fostering strong educational roots in engineering and architecture, the partnership seeks to give UB and Amikom students and faculty the chance to go abroad to learn and hone their skills on an international level.

The Universitas Amikom Yogyakarta is located in Java, Indonesia in a community known for its thriving educational community of more than 100 institutions for higher education. They currently have over 13,000 students enrolled in their two diploma courses, thirteen undergraduate programs, and two postgraduate programs.
